Camp Dixie was established in 1952 as a ministry for families with young children. Many church groups, youth groups, and other ministry organizations use camp for their own summer camp offerings and for retreats. Each summer Camp Dixie runs children's camps.

2020 - Hurricane Sally hit camp head on. Roof of Retreat Center replaced. Lost many trees and backdrop of Outdoor Chapel.

2011 - Resealed Basketball/Tennis Courts. Kayaks added to Activities.
1996 - New Director's house built
1995 - Hurricane Opal messed camp up a bit!

1990 - Original Outdoor Chapel Built
1989 - A/C Installed in Dorms. Challenge course introduced as activity.
