Foundations Weekend Retreats

K-8 Kids bring a Grown-up to Camp!

Boys: November 14-16, 2025

Girls: March 13-15, 2026

Foundations Weekends

Foundations is an opportunity for campers to experience camp with a member of their support system. Get into the word together, roast a marshmallow, play some dodgeball, and marvel in God's Creation. These weekend camps are open to kids K-8 who are accompanied by a same gendered adult (parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle, etc.) The weekend for K-8 boys is November 14-16 while girls may register for March 13-15. We believe that it is important for kids to have sound foundations at home - adults who will encourage them in their faith and remind them of what Christ has done for us. Help us equip your family and spend the weekend out at Camp Dixie.

This weekend will feature classic camp activities such as archery, boating, and campfire devotions. Camp staff will lead you through the weekend's schedule and activities, equipping your family pair to spend good old-fashioned quality time at Camp Dixie. We will dive into our bible study designed for children and grown-ups to walk through together. Weather permitting, the weekend may hold large group games, rock climbing, crafts, dodgeball, and more! Even with all of the excitement that a day at camp holds, there is always time to sit out by Perdido Bay with your son or daughter and watch the dolphins swim by.

Check in Friday from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Check out Sunday at 2pm. Lodging will be our Retreat Center bunk rooms, with other camper pairs. Delicious meals will be served from Saturday breakfast through Sunday Lunch. Please note, Friday supper will not be provided due to later program start time. Camp store snacks and merchandise will be available for purchase at various times through the weekend. Cost is $195 per pair.
